St Christopher’s School Day:
9:00: Students arrive. All students are met at the gate by a member of staff and escorted into school.
All students have their own plastic wallet for personal belongings. It is expected that all personal items are handed in at the beginning of the day, especially mobile phones and other electrical equipment. These are then kept in a safe place and handed back at the end of the day.
No student is allowed to keep their phone during the day.
9:00 – 9.15: Whole school breakfast and registration
9:15 – 9:30: Whole school assembly
9:30 – 10.20: Lesson one
10.20 – 11.10: Lesson two
At all times, but especially during lessons, students can earn Treasure Chest points. These points are recorded and once a student has completed a grid, which takes 50 points, the student can choose a prize out of the treasure chest box.
For KS3 there is also the option to bank their completed treasure chest grid and wait until they have collected 10 grids. These can then be exchanged for a £10 voucher.
11.10 – 11.30: Break time
KS2 use the climbing frame at the back on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday they play games in the playground.
KS3 play games in the playground Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday they use the climbing frame at the back.
Staff structure and supervise this time to assist self-regulation learning and social skill development.

This is held in the hall. Packed lunches are either supplied by Northgate High School or the students bring their own. Again time is structured and supervised by staff to optimise learning and help prepare pupils for unsupervised time back in mainstream settings.

Afternoon lessons are much more practical and include PE, Art, cooking, swimming for KS2 and ASDAN for KS3.
